wow...it's been a while.

let me just update on everything with some pics.

the start of it all...lol

i cut all my hair off. decided to start OVER.

When I started off freshman year, I was a Nursing major. Well I changed it. lol. It was really too much. No point in trying to get into a major and they only accept 30 or so people and half the campus are Nursing majors. So now I am a Mass Communications major with a focus on broadcast technology. Hopefully I'll fun with this seeing its something I like doing (editing videos)

My GPA isn't where I want it to be, but its getting there. I have alot of big things set up for me, hopefully I can make it happen. Just have to focus and remain calm.]

Oh and I do attend the GREAT Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, FL. and I am currently a Marching Wildcat of the P.R.I.D.E..

that thing that burns a hole in my heart.

( i understand I've been on hiatus for while...but I'm back for a few days. I just wanted to share with you some of my thoughts that's been rambling around my mind since the last time i blogged. I posted this on facebook, and i decided to bring it on here to share with yall. )

there's a certain thing that i look for.

warm.

tender.

loving.

something that kept me happy for oh so long and i never once shared a sad face.

although there's a B I G difference in WANTING and NEEDING, i still WANT && NEED that feeling back.

i need that thing called Love.

you know the four letter word that bring 2 other four letter words with it? like...

pain?

hurt?

and some other homeboys like...

misery?

regret?

sorrow?

i want the love that brings

happy!

excitement!

laughter! THE WORKS!

i guess no one will ever see me happy like that again. 

but its ok. 

I'm going to continue to gain that love for myself back. before i let anyone destroy what I'm trying to rebuild <3

(and im not just writing this. this is exactly how i feel 4real.)

I know I haven't been posting but my life is just too much right now. When it gets back in order, I will continue to most more.

here are some things NOT to do as a college freshman.

I've been at Bethune-Cookman for about a month now, and I noticed some things as the incoming freshman started coming in up until now. (I'm in the band and band freshman had to come a week earlier than everyone else)

1. Don't come the first day looking for a "boo thang". You barely know these people. You don't know their past either so just get to know them as friends first. 

2. Be sure you are financially cleared so that you will be able to register for classes. You don't want to end up paying some money when it was already due and not get the classes you want. and be sure to take more than 14 hours. I'm taking 17 hours now as a full time student/band member.

3. Get classes that fit into you curriculum. -enough said. 

4. Go to ALL your classes everyday. You don't want to fall behind too far.

5. LADIES: DO NOT WEAR HEELS TO AN 8 AM CLASS.

6. Dress comfortably. Not for someone else.

7. If you end up getting a refund check, don't blow it on materialistic items ie. a car, an apartment. Because in the end of the semester, you're going to half to pay alllllll that back. Use it on books, a laptop, things you may need and little stuff that you want.

That's just a few for now. I've seen all these things happen so I just want to let all incoming freshman for NEXT year  know what to do. =)

i'm back! but not for long lol

I'm doing better now than I was in those last few post. I've learned to just accept change and move right along. A wise friend helped me thru this!

For most freshman, they're there to go to school. but for me, I'm there for school AND the band. And all this is

taking a toll on me physically and emotionally. I really wanna just go home. I wanna lay in my own bed in my

own room. Not saying that I don't like my roommate cuz I do. But I guess I wasn't ready for this college life.

Maybe this will all get better in the long run. who knows. but right now...I just wanna go home.

classes officially start tomorrow!

Tomorrow, I will be an official college student! And I only have 2 classes tomorrow! thank god! Here's my schedule as follows:

On Mondays and Wednesdays:

College English: 8:00 am-9:00 am

Math: 11:40 am-12:40 pm

On Fridays I take those same classes and in between I take

Freshman Seminar: 10:20 am-11:20 am

On Tuesdays and Thursdays:

Psychology: 8:00 am-9:30 am

Reading: 11:20 am-12:50 pm

African American History: 1:00 pm-2:30 pm

And everday I have band practice from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm lol

In all I have 17 credit hours! I have just about a full load! So I'm going to be busy! I hope I'll be able to post soon. =/. Wish me luck!

all in all..

yesterday, i got prepared for auditions for the Tennessee State University marching band. the director thought i went to the school i auditioned at....well here's part of the convo:

Director: ok so you go to Miller Grove and...

Me: oh no i go to Stephenson (i was the only one from my school to go)

Director: OH!! you're the young lady @QuisCouture told me about!

Me: (acting like i didn't know anything) uh yes i am lol

so i played some music for him. and he looked impressed. after that he said:

Director: i tell most students that i hope to see you in the fall, im telling YOU im looking FORWARD to seeing you in the fall.

And from those words right there, i officially became a Tennessee State University Tiger.

i got accepted!

today i got accepted into my 2nd choice school Tennessee State University!
all i need is a band scholarship and I'm set!

(It's a band audition lol)
I play clarinet and they are looking for Clarinets!!!!
